Phenom II X6 1090T vs Ryzen 7 5800XT benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 5800XT is faster than the Phenom II X6 1090T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Phenom II X6 1090T in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800XT has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Phenom II X6 1090T has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Phenom II X6 1090T. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 7 5800XT has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Phenom II X6 1090T. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 5800XT has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Phenom II X6 1090T. The Ryzen 7 5800XT also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Phenom II X6 1090T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
