Phenom II X6 1055T vs Xeon X5687 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon X5687 is faster than the Phenom II X6 1055T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Phenom II X6 1055T in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Phenom II X6 1055T has significantly more cores than the Xeon X5687. Indeed, the Phenom II X6 1055T has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Xeon X5687. It also has more threads than the Xeon X5687. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon X5687 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Phenom II X6 1055T. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Phenom II X6 1055T has significantly more L2 cache than the Xeon X5687. Despite this, the Xeon X5687 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Phenom II X6 1055T.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Phenom II X6 1055T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
