Pentium Silver N6000 vs Core i3-N300 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i3-N300 performs better than the Pentium Silver N6000. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium Silver N6000 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i3-N300 has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Pentium Silver N6000 that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium Silver N6000. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium Silver N6000 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-N300. A Pentium Silver N6000 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-N300 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Pentium Silver N6000 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
