Pentium Silver N5030 vs Core i3-1215U comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-1215U is faster than the Pentium Silver N5030. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium Silver N5030 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-1215U has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Pentium Silver N5030 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium Silver N5030. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-1215U has a slightly higher clock speed than the Pentium Silver N5030. A Pentium Silver N5030 CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-1215U CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Pentium Silver N5030 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
