Pentium Silver N5000 vs Pentium G860 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium Silver N5000 performs better than the Pentium G860. Despite this, the Pentium G860 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Pentium Silver N5000 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium G860 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium G860. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G860 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Pentium Silver N5000. A Pentium Silver N5000 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium G860 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Pentium Silver N5000 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
