Pentium Silver N5000 vs Pentium E5200 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium Silver N5000 performs better than the Pentium E5200. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium E5200 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Pentium Silver N5000 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium E5200 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium E5200. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium E5200 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Pentium Silver N5000. A Pentium Silver N5000 CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium E5200 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Pentium Silver N5000 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
