Pentium N4200 vs A9-9420 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the A9-9420 performs better than the Pentium N4200. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium N4200 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Pentium N4200 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the A9-9420 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A9-9420. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A9-9420 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium N4200.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Pentium N4200 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
