Pentium N4200 vs 3015e specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the 3015e is faster than the Pentium N4200. Despite this, the Pentium N4200 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Pentium N4200 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the 3015e that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the 3015e has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium N4200. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Pentium N4200 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
