Pentium Gold G6400 vs Xeon X3450 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium Gold G6400 is faster than the Xeon X3450. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X3450 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon X3450 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium Gold G6400 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium Gold G6400. Our comparison shows that the Pentium Gold G6400 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon X3450. A Pentium Gold G6400 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X3450 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Xeon X3450 has significantly more L2 cache than the Pentium Gold G6400
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Pentium Gold G6400 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
