Pentium Gold G6400 vs Celeron N5105 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium Gold G6400 is faster than the Celeron N5105. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N5105 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Celeron N5105 has significantly more cores than the Pentium Gold G6400. Indeed, the Celeron N5105 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Pentium Gold G6400. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium Gold G6400 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron N5105. The Celeron N5105 outputs less heat than Pentium Gold G6400 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Pentium Gold G6400 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
