Pentium Gold 7505 vs Pentium Silver N6000 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium Gold 7505 performs better than the Pentium Silver N6000. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium Silver N6000 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Pentium Silver N6000 has significantly more cores than the Pentium Gold 7505. Indeed, the Pentium Silver N6000 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Pentium Gold 7505. But they both have the same number of threads. The Pentium Silver N6000 outputs less heat than Pentium Gold 7505 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Pentium Gold 7505 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
