Pentium G860 vs Pentium E5800 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium G860 performs better than the Pentium E5800. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium E5800 in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Pentium E5800 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium G860. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Pentium E5800 has significantly more L2 cache than the Pentium G860
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Pentium G860 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
