Pentium G4560 vs Core i7-4810MQ specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Pentium G4560 performs better than the Core i7-4810MQ. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-4810MQ in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-4810MQ has significantly more cores with 3 cores compared to the Pentium G4560 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium G4560. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G4560 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-4810MQ. The Core i7-4810MQ outputs less heat than Pentium G4560 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-4810MQ has significantly more L2 cache than the Pentium G4560. The Core i7-4810MQ also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Pentium G4560 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
