Pentium G4520 vs Xeon X5450 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon X5450 beats the Pentium G4520 in overall performance. Despite this, the Pentium G4520 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon X5450 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium G4520 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium G4520. Our comparison shows that the Pentium G4520 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon X5450. A Pentium G4520 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5450 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Xeon X5450 has more L2 cache than the Pentium G4520
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Pentium G4520 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
