Pentium G4520 vs Athlon 3000G comparison
In our benchmarks, the Athlon 3000G beats the Pentium G4520 in overall performance. Despite this, the Pentium G4520 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Athlon 3000G has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G4520 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Athlon 3000G. The Athlon 3000G outputs less heat than Pentium G4520 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Athlon 3000G has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Pentium G4520. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Pentium G4520 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
