Pentium G4400 vs FX-770K specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the FX-770K performs better than the Pentium G4400. Despite this, the Pentium G4400 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the FX-770K has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-770K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Pentium G4400. A Pentium G4400 CPU outputs less heat than a FX-770K CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the FX-770K has more L2 cache than the Pentium G4400

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Pentium G4400 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
