Pentium G4400 vs Celeron J6412 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Celeron J6412 beats the Pentium G4400 in overall performance. Despite this, the Pentium G4400 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Celeron J6412 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium G4400 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium G4400. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G4400 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron J6412. The Celeron J6412 outputs less heat than Pentium G4400 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Celeron J6412 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Pentium G4400. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Pentium G4400 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
