Pentium G4400 vs Athlon II X3 450 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium G4400 is faster than the Athlon II X3 450. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Athlon II X3 450 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Athlon II X3 450 has significantly more cores than the Pentium G4400. Indeed, the Athlon II X3 450 has 3 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Pentium G4400. It also has more threads than the Pentium G4400. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G4400 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Athlon II X3 450. In terms of cache, the Athlon II X3 450 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Pentium G4400
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Pentium G4400 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
