Pentium G2020 vs Pentium Silver N5000 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium G2020 is faster than the Pentium Silver N5000. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium Silver N5000 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Pentium Silver N5000 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium G2020 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium G2020. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Pentium G2020 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Pentium Silver N5000. The Pentium Silver N5000 outputs less heat than Pentium G2020 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Pentium G2020 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
