Pentium E6300 vs Celeron N3450 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron N3450 performs better than the Pentium E6300. Despite this, the Pentium E6300 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Celeron N3450 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Pentium E6300 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Pentium E6300. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Pentium E6300 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Celeron N3450. The Celeron N3450 outputs less heat than Pentium E6300 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Pentium E6300 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
