Pentium B940 vs 3015e comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium B940 is faster than the 3015e. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the 3015e in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the 3015e has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Pentium B940 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the 3015e. The 3015e outputs less heat than Pentium B940 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the 3015e has significantly more L2 cache than the Pentium B940. The 3015e also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Pentium B940 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
