Pentium 3825U vs Pentium B940 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Pentium B940 is faster than the Pentium 3825U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium 3825U in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Pentium 3825U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium B940 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Pentium 3825U. A Pentium 3825U CPU outputs less heat than a Pentium B940 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Pentium 3825U has significantly more L2 cache than the Pentium B940. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Pentium 3825U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
