Pentium 3825U vs Core 2 Duo E8400 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core 2 Duo E8400 is faster than the Pentium 3825U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium 3825U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Pentium 3825U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core 2 Duo E8400 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Pentium 3825U. A Pentium 3825U CPU outputs less heat than a Core 2 Duo E8400 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core 2 Duo E8400 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Pentium 3825U
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Pentium 3825U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
