Pentium 2020M vs Celeron 7305 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Celeron 7305 performs better than the Pentium 2020M. Despite this, the Pentium 2020M has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Celeron 7305 has significantly more cores than the Pentium 2020M. Indeed, the Celeron 7305 has 5 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Pentium 2020M. It also has more threads than the Pentium 2020M. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium 2020M has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron 7305. The Celeron 7305 outputs less heat than Pentium 2020M thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Pentium 2020M has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
