N95 vs Xeon X3440 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon X3440 performs better than the N95. Despite this, the N95 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Xeon X3440 has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon X3440 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the N95. In terms of cache, the N95 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Xeon X3440. Despite this, the Xeon X3440 has slightly more L3 cache compared to the N95.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the N95 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
