N200 vs Pentium Gold G5420T comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the N200 is faster than the Pentium Gold G5420T. Despite this, the Pentium Gold G5420T has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the N200 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Pentium Gold G5420T that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Pentium Gold G5420T has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the N200. The info from our database shows that the N200 has more L2 cache than the Pentium Gold G5420T. The N200 also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the N200 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
