N100 vs Ryzen 5 PRO 2400GE comparison

In our benchmarks, the N100 beats the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400GE in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400GE has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400GE has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 2400GE has a significantly higher clock speed than the N100. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The N100 also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the N100 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
