Iris Xe vs GeForce GTX 870M comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce GTX 870M GPU is faster than the Iris Xe in gaming.

In our comparison, the GeForce GTX 870M has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the Iris Xe has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

In addition, the Iris Xe has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the GeForce GTX 870M at 100 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce GTX 870M is better than the Iris Xe.
