Iris Plus 655 vs Radeon Vega 8 comparison

For gaming, the Radeon Vega 8 graphics card is better than the Iris Plus 655 in our tests.

By comparing the spec sheets, both the Iris Plus 655 and the Radeon Vega 8 have the same base clock speed. Despite this, the Radeon Vega 8 has a significantly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

In addition, the Iris Plus 655 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the Radeon Vega 8 at 45 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
