Iris Plus 640 vs Radeon R7 450 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Iris Plus 640 beats the Radeon R7 450 in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the Radeon R7 450 has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon R7 450 has significantly more memory with 2 GiB of memory compared to 0.5 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Iris Plus 640 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the Radeon R7 450 at 65 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Iris Plus 640 is faster than the Radeon R7 450.
