Iris 550 vs Iris Plus 640 comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Iris Plus 640 GPU is faster than the Iris 550 in gaming.

By comparing the spec sheets, both the Iris 550 and the Iris Plus 640 have the same base clock speed. Despite this, the Iris Plus 640 has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

In addition, both the Iris 550 and the Iris Plus 640 have an identical TDP. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the Iris Plus 640 is better than the Iris 550.
