Iris 540 vs GeForce 830M benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the GeForce 830M beats the Iris 540 in gaming performance.

Our database shows that the GeForce 830M has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce 830M also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

In addition, the Iris 540 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the GeForce 830M at 33 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce 830M is better than the Iris 540.
