Iris 5100 vs GeForce 920MX specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the GeForce 920MX beats the Iris 5100 in gaming performance.

Our database shows that the GeForce 920MX has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the Iris 5100 has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

In addition, the GeForce 920MX has a significantly lower TDP at 16 W when compared to the Iris 5100 at 30 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce 920MX is faster than the Iris 5100.
