HD 620 vs Radeon R7 240 specs and performance
For gaming, the HD 620 graphics card is better than the Radeon R7 240 in our tests.
The Radeon R7 240 has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the HD 620 has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
In addition, the HD 620 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the Radeon R7 240 at 30 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the HD 620 is faster than the Radeon R7 240.
