According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Iris 540 GPU is faster than the HD 620 in gaming.
By comparing the spec sheets, both the HD 620 and the Iris 540 have the same base clock speed.
In addition, both the HD 620 and the Iris 540 have an identical TDP. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
