HD 5500 vs UHD 730 comparison

In our benchmarks, the UHD 730 beats the HD 5500 in gaming performance.

By comparing the spec sheets, both the HD 5500 and the UHD 730 have the same base clock speed. Despite this, the UHD 730 has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

In addition, both the HD 5500 and the UHD 730 have an identical TDP. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the UHD 730 over the HD 5500.
