HD 5500 vs Iris Xe specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Iris Xe beats the HD 5500 in gaming performance.

Our database shows that both the HD 5500 and Iris Xe both have the same core clock speed. Despite this, the Iris Xe has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

In addition, both the HD 5500 and the Iris Xe have an identical TDP. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Iris Xe over the HD 5500.
