HD 5500 vs GeForce 920MX specs and performance
For gaming, the GeForce 920MX graphics card is better than the HD 5500 in our tests.
Our database shows that the GeForce 920MX has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce 920MX also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
In addition, the HD 5500 has a slightly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the GeForce 920MX at 16 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce 920MX is better than the HD 5500.
