HD 520 vs GeForce GT 720M benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the HD 520 beats the GeForce GT 720M in gaming performance.
Our database shows that the GeForce GT 720M has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. Despite this, the HD 520 has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
In addition, the HD 520 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the GeForce GT 720M at 33 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the HD 520 is better than the GeForce GT 720M.
