HD 505 vs Iris Xe comparison

For gaming, the Iris Xe graphics card is better than the HD 505 in our tests.

The Iris Xe has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Iris Xe also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.

In addition, the HD 505 has a significantly lower TDP at 6 W when compared to the Iris Xe at 15 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Iris Xe over the HD 505.
