HD 4400 vs Radeon R5 240 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the Radeon R5 240 GPU is faster than the HD 4400 in gaming.
The Radeon R5 240 has a significantly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the Radeon R5 240 has slightly more memory with 2 GiB of memory compared to 1.66 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the HD 4400 has a significantly lower TDP at 20 W when compared to the Radeon R5 240 at 50 W. TDP (Thermal Design Power) measures total heat output from the chip.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon R5 240 over the HD 4400.
