HD 4000 vs Radeon Vega 3 specs and performance

For gaming, the Radeon Vega 3 graphics card is better than the HD 4000 in our tests.

Our database shows that the HD 4000 has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the Radeon Vega 3 has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.

In addition, the Radeon Vega 3 has a significantly lower TDP at 15 W when compared to the HD 4000 at 45 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon Vega 3 over the HD 4000.
