GeForce RTX 4090 vs GeForce RTX 5070 Ti specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the GeForce RTX 4090 beats the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti in gaming performance.

Our database shows that the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. Despite this, the GeForce RTX 4090 has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

In addition, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti has a significantly lower TDP at 300 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4090 at 450 W. This is not a measure of performance, but rather the amount of heat generated by the chip when running at its highest speed.

According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 4090 is faster than the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.
