GeForce RTX 4090 vs GeForce RTX 4090 D comparison

For gaming, the GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card is better than the GeForce RTX 4090 D in our tests.

In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 4090 D has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture.

As stated by the manufacturer, they both have the same amount of memory at 24 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.

In addition, the GeForce RTX 4090 D has a slightly lower TDP at 425 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4090 at 450 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the GeForce RTX 4090 over the GeForce RTX 4090 D.
