GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER vs GeForce RTX 4090 D benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 4090 D GPU is faster than the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER in gaming.

The GeForce RTX 4090 D has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4090 D also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.

Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the GeForce RTX 4090 D has significantly more memory with 24 GiB of memory compared to 16 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.

In addition, the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER has a slightly lower TDP at 340 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4090 D at 425 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.

In terms of raw gaming performance in our GPU benchmark, the GeForce RTX 4090 D is better than the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER.
