GeForce RTX 4060 Ti vs GeForce RTX 4090 D comparison
For gaming, the GeForce RTX 4090 D graphics card is better than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti in our tests.
The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
Next up, in terms of GPU memory, the GeForce RTX 4090 D has significantly more memory with 24 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a significantly lower TDP at 160 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 4090 D at 425 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 4090 D is faster than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti.
