GeForce RTX 3060 vs Radeon RX 6800 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Radeon RX 6800 beats the GeForce RTX 3060 in gaming performance.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6800 has a slightly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6800 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed. This is a frequency that can be reached if the GPU is cooled sufficiently and has enough power.
As stated by the manufacturer, the Radeon RX 6800 has slightly more memory with 16 GiB of memory compared to 12 GiB. Lots of memory is good when playing at high resolutions or with many monitors.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 3060 has a significantly lower TDP at 170 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6800 at 250 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
In conclusion, all specs and GPU benchmarks considered, will recommend the Radeon RX 6800 over the GeForce RTX 3060.
