GeForce RTX 3060 vs Radeon RX 6700 comparison
For gaming, the Radeon RX 6700 graphics card is better than the GeForce RTX 3060 in our tests.
In our comparison, the Radeon RX 6700 has a significantly higher core clock speed. The core clock speed (or base speed) is the frequency at which the GPU core runs. This metric makes sense when comparing GPUs of a similar architecture or generation. In addition, the Radeon RX 6700 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
As stated by the manufacturer, the GeForce RTX 3060 has slightly more memory with 12 GiB of memory compared to 10 GiB. If you're planning at playing games at high resolutions with high-quality textures, you will need a lot of memory.
In addition, the GeForce RTX 3060 has a slightly lower TDP at 170 W when compared to the Radeon RX 6700 at 175 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the Radeon RX 6700 is faster than the GeForce RTX 3060.
