GeForce RTX 2080 vs TITAN Xp specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark, the GeForce RTX 2080 GPU is faster than the TITAN Xp in gaming.
In our comparison, the GeForce RTX 2080 has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the GeForce RTX 2080 also has a slightly higher boost clock speed: the maximum frequency the chip can reach if power delivery and thermals allow.
Furthermore, the spec sheet for both these GPUs show that the TITAN Xp has significantly more memory with 12 GiB of memory compared to 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, both the GeForce RTX 2080 and the TITAN Xp have an identical TDP. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 2080 is faster than the TITAN Xp.
