GeForce RTX 2080 vs Radeon RX 6650 XT comparison
For gaming, the GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card is better than the Radeon RX 6650 XT in our tests.
Our database shows that the Radeon RX 6650 XT has a slightly higher core clock speed. This is the frequency at which the graphics core is running at. While not necessarily an indicator of overall performance, this metric can be useful when comparing two GPUs based on the same architecture. In addition, the Radeon RX 6650 XT also has a significantly higher boost clock speed. The boost clock speed is the frequency that the GPU core can reach if the temperature is low enough. The allows for higher performance in certain scenarios.
As stated by the manufacturer, they both have the same amount of memory at 8 GiB. Memory size doesn't directly affect performance, but too little memory will certainly degrade gaming performance.
In addition, the Radeon RX 6650 XT has a slightly lower TDP at 176 W when compared to the GeForce RTX 2080 at 250 W. Heat output doesn't match power consumption directly but, it's a good estimate.
According to the results of the hardwareDB benchmark utility, the GeForce RTX 2080 is faster than the Radeon RX 6650 XT.
